What is Maintenance Plus?

Every car comes with a maintenance schedule recommended by the manufacturer. That is supposed to be the roadmap for longevity and performance for your car.


Well - as my father used to say, the difference between theory and practice is bigger in practice than in theory. After servicing hundreds of MINIs, and sharing experiences with the independent repair community, CarHavn EuroTech has come up with Maintenance Plus, an improved schedule that increases your chances for More Fun Miles. The idea is that more maintenance with better products will prolong the life and performance of your MINI. 


The Issue

MINIs, like BMWs, have a form of maintenance schedule programmed in the car called Condition-Based Service. It's supposed to generate service recommendations based on sensors, your driving habits, and MINIs algorithm.


The issue is that CBS does not recommend enough maintenance, resulting in shortened component life and reduced performance.


Maintenance Plus for MINI 2nd Generation

Every 5K miles

or 6 months

  • LiquiMoly engine oil service, MANN filter
  • Rotate tires
  • Check timing system
  • Check VANOS and Valvetronic systems
  • Check for oil leaks: oil filter housing, oil pan, valve cover gasket
  • Check for coolant leaks
  • Check oil delivery system: oil pump, solenoids
  • Check cooling system: radiator, water pump, water pipe, hoses, flanges.
  • Check suspension: control arms, shocks, struts
  • Check electrical charging system: battery, alternator, belt, starter.
  • Check braking system: brake pads, sensors, discs.

Every 10K miles

or 12 months

5K service plus:

  • Brake Fluid and Coolant replacement 
  • LiquiMoly Engine Flush OR LiquiMoly Ceratec
  • Engine and Cabin filter replacement LiquiMoly Engine Flush

10K service plus:

  • Transmission service, if ALL4 service transfer case and differentials.
  • Spark plug and coil replacement
