BMWs are very special machines, providing performance, beauty, safety, sophistication. Those attractive features come from their superior, and complex, engineering. When everything works fine, there's nothing better than a BMW. When things need to be fixed, accurate BMW diagnostics are the first step.

Two key elements come into play in properly diagnosing a BMW engine, transmission, body, or electrical issue:

1. A trained, seasoned mechanic. In our experience, it takes up to 10 years for a mechanic to truly understand the art and science of BMW diagnostics, with its subtleties and mysteries.
2. The right software, ISTA, which the the main tool dealers use. The Federal Right To Repair Law gives independent repair shops access to the same diagnostics tools and technical info the dealer has. These diagnostics tools are not free. CarHavn EuroTech pays thousands  a year to operate the software. It pays for us, as we see so many BMWs.
   

Issues We Can Diagnose

ENGINE: misfires, air/vacuum leaks, oil leaks, coolant leaks, head gaskets, piston rings. crankshaft or camshaft conditions, engine replacements.

TURBOCHARGER: Loss of boost, general turbo failures, wastegate, coolant or oil leaks, turbo replacement

ELECTRICAL: Module replacement and programming, electrical 'gremlins', rodent damage to cables/harnesses.

TRANSMISSION: slips, lack of power, hard shifts, reverting to Neutral, regular service, valve body failures, mechatronics failures, solenoid failures.

SUSPENSION: Squeaking noises, bouncy suspensions, control arms, thrust arms, bushings, springs, struts/shock absorbers

BODY: Water ingress, seat belts, headlight malfunction, A/C compressor or refrigerant recharge.
