How to Fix Mercedes-Benz Code P0015

Frequenty Appears in the M272 V6 3.0 Engine

Mercedes-Benz C280 4Matic

This is a very common code in the very popular M272 3.0L V6 engine, which Mercedes-Benz used in a wide variety of C-Class, E-Class, SLK, CLK, GLK cars.

There are many myths on the Internet surrounding what this code means and how to solve it. Our approach, as Mercedes specialists, is to use the factory scan tool, DAS, to read the codes and follow the Test Plan created by the tool to guide the repair. That's the beauty of the proper diagnostic software - you can rely on the expertise of the manufacturer as they learn from their network dealer and develop solutions that are baked into the tool.

The key to this error is the solenoid for the exhaust camshaft in the right cylinder bank. The part MUST be A272 051 0177. Professional installation and testing are recommended!
